Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of Sonora, this historic gem offers a truly unique experience. the charming town comes alive with its preserved gold-rush era charm, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. the extra large suite on the top floor exudes Victorian elegance and offers a spacious retreat. Exploring the vibrant downtown area just outside the hotel is a treat for foodies and culture enthusiasts alike. From delicious restaurants to local museums, there's something for everyone to enjoy. the picturesque Sierra Nevada mountains provide a stunning backdrop, especially when viewed from the rooftop pool. Denise, or maybe Debbie, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even offering her own phone charger. the only downside was the cleanliness of the bathroom, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the Sonora Inn is a charming destination for those looking to immerse themselves in history and nature. With its convenient location and unique offerings, it's a place I would definitely return to, perhaps with my family to explore the surrounding Yosemite and Sierra Nevada area.
